8th Grade Social Studies

Welcome to 8th Grade Social Studies!  I am excited to begin another year of treasured relationships, amazing journeys, and indepth study of our wonderful state. Our focus is the story of the history of South Carolina and the role that the state and its people have played in the development of the United States.  We will examine the historical, geographic, economic and civic aspects of The Palmetto State.

I was really impressed by your "mini-projects!"  I enjoyed hearing about your virtual ROAD TRIP across our wonderful state of South Carolina.  You guys found such interesting places.  Some were historical, some were adventurous, and some were relaxing.  I look forward to more projects from you this school-year!!

Ready to learn
Remember to come to class each day with necessary materials.  This includes SS textbook, Student Resources Guide, composition notebook, binder stocked with paper and writing utensils.  You must be ready to learn.
